Analyze, Forecast, Troubleshoot Traffic
- Perform Capacity Planning
- Pinpoint Bottlenecks or underutilized links at-a-glance from the map
- Examine Peak Utilization during Network Failure
- Replay Multi-Period link utilization animation on the map
- Perform Statistical Analyses by summarizing historical traffic (e.g. Examine the 95th percentile traffic statistics for all Mondays in the first quarter.)
- Perform Trending Analysis, forecast future traffic based on historical traffic data
- Analyze CoS, packet-loss and delay statistics per CoS. See CoS Section for more.
- Use IP/MPLSView's Metric Optimization utility to assist in traffic routing
- Import traffic from a variety of sources:
- IP/MPLSView's own SNMP-based Traffic Collectors
- IP/MPLSView's Traffic Generation Utilities
- IP/MPLSView's T-Solve Traffic Matrix Solver's sophisticated tomogravity models are used to estimate a plausible end-to-end traffic matrix from collected interface traffic measurements.
- Third-Party Sources (e.g. MRTG, NetFlow, eHealth, InfoVista, etc.)
- Generate Numerous Traffic Charts and Reports
Live Network Utilization Visually Color-coded on Map (A link may have 2 colors, representing the link utilization in both A-Z and Z-A directions); Traffic Charts; Other traffic loading representations
Peak/Worst-case Utilization experienced during a Failure Simulation run is reported on each interface; Barchart displays period-by-period traffic load for a particular interface with red bars indicating peak loading during failure as a result of traffic rerouting.
T-Solve Traffic Matrix Solver - Map and bar chart indicate the small difference on each link between actual measured traffic and that resulting from T-Solve computation
