Welcome to IP/MPLSView

IP/MPLSView is WANDL's multi-vendor, multi-protocol, and multi-layer Traffic Management and Traffic Engineering solution for IP and/or MPLS networks.

Why IP/MPLSView?

Integrated Offline Planning and Online FCAPS Management - The Complete Network Cycle

IP/MPLSView Full Cycle Step 1 PLAN: Use IP/MPLSView to perform offline ("paper network") designs, simulations, and studies. Validate changes to the network safely and accurately in this offline environment. Generate any LSP or VPN "configlets" based on your design.

Step 2 DEPLOY: With the configlets generated from Step 1, use IP/MPLSView's Service Activation module to push the changes to the actual network.

Step 3 MANAGE: Use IP/MPLSView's online module to connect to the live network and manage and monitor network performance and health. Populate your network model with newly collected network data and traffic. Repeat step 1.

With both online and offline capabilities, IP/MPLSView can be leveraged by various groups within the organization from Operations to Engineering to Planning. Each stage of the network lifecycle can be managed by using an accurate and consistent data model through IP/MPLSView's intuitive graphical interface. The system provides concise and in-depth views of IP or IP/MPLS routers, tunnels, routing protocol configurations, and traffic through an intuitive graphical display and through flexible and comprehensive reports.

Sample System Configuration

IP/MPLSView runs on a server-client architecture. The recommended configuration depends upon the size of the network and number of users. Contact your local WANDL representative for a more precise hardware estimate. Sample server and client configurations are as follows:

Server:
Sun Workstation
Solaris 10
4 GB RAM or more
40 GB server disk space or more*
CD-ROM drive**
Client (Sun Workstation):
Solaris 10
1 GB RAM or more
600 MB disk space
CD-ROM drive**
Client (PC):
Windows 2000/NT/XP/Vista
or Linux (supporting Sun VM)
1 GB RAM or more
CD-ROM drive**
*Disk utilization dependent upon network size
**The CD-ROM drive is not required if installation files are downloaded to the machine.
Note: Solaris x86/x64 platform is recommended.
