What is IP/MPLSView™?

IP/MPLSView is WANDL's multi-vendor, multi-protocol, and multi-layer Traffic Management and Traffic Engineering solution for IP and/or MPLS networks.

How does it work?

There are three available suites in IP/MPLSView: (1) Design & Planning, (2) Management & Monitoring, and (3) Service Creation & Provisioning. These three suites support the Complete Network Cycle and handle the varying needs of network designers, planners, operators, and managers. How do I purchase?

IP/MPLSView operates on a highly modularized architecture. To begin, select the suite(s) you need. Then, for advanced functionality, select from the optional expansion packs available within each suite. Each suite along with its individual expansion packs (Modeling, Management, or Provisioning Packs) behave as "plug-ins" into a common IP/MPLSView Unified Platform. This platform enables the highly modularized architecture of IP/MPLSView that provides you with the following advantages:

If you're an existing customer, you're probably wondering what these three suites are all about, and how this change will impact you. Rest assured, you can continue to use your current WANDL solutions as before. As IP/MPLSView has grown and evolved over the years, it has built up a large portfolio of features and capabilities. We decided to organize modules into suites to make it easier for people to determine which features and functions meet their specific needs. Hence, the change for now is simply an organizational one. Some modules in this new scheme may sport new names, but the functionality remains unchanged.

Sample System Configuration

IP/MPLSView runs on a server-client architecture. The recommended configuration depends upon the size of the network and number of users. Contact your local WANDL representative for a more precise hardware estimate. Sample server and client configurations are as follows:

Server: Sun Workstation Solaris 10 4 GB RAM or more 40 GB server disk space or more* CD-ROM drive** Client (Sun Workstation): Solaris 10 1 GB RAM or more 600 MB disk space CD-ROM drive** Client (PC): Windows 2000/NT/XP/Vista or Linux (supporting Sun VM) 1 GB RAM or more CD-ROM drive**

*Disk utilization dependent upon network size

**The CD-ROM drive is not required if installation files are downloaded to the machine.

Note: Solaris x86/x64 platform is recommended.
