Systems Engineer
Interested in keeping up with the latest networking technologies, or working with router vendors and customers across the world? WANDL, Inc. is currently looking for talented, energetic system engineers to join its network management systems engineering team.
| Responsibilities |
- Support selected accounts in North America, Europe, or Asia with technical support, training, and/or consulting. There are many opportunities for travel abroad, for which foreign language skills are a plus.
- Analyze, research, and design technical features for network modeling, network operations and management, for routing and switching networks
- Participate in software testing, regression testing, and verification tests on router labs.
- Prepare technical documents and presentations for features and enhancements.

| Qualifications and Requirements
|
- Masters degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Strong written, oral, and presentation skills
- Sharp analytical skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly

- Prior background in network modeling and/or routing protocols

Java / Web Developer
Piscataway, NJ
WANDL has an opening for a Senior Java / Web Developer in Piscataway, NJ. The developer's role will be to develop and enhance software features for WANDL's network management suite, for use by service providers and carriers worldwide.
| Key Qualifications |
- 5+ years of Java and OOP development
- 3+ years of experience using Web Technologies (JSP, Servlets, JBoss, HTML, CSS, Flash/Flex, XML, Javascript, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience with relational databases/SQL programming
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Experience with architecture/design for scalability and performance in complex client-server distributed systems
- Experience with usability, quality design, and defensive programming principles
- Proficiency with Unix systems (Solaris and Linux) and shell scripting
- Ability to interact with clients with good written and oral communication skills

| Desired Skills
|
- Knowledge of Networking Protocols (SNMP, ping, traceroute, subnetting, etc.) or network management software
- Experience with multithreading and client-server architectures
- GUI design experience (Java Swing)
- Ability to respond quickly to changing business needs and priorities
- Familiarity with C or C++ is a plus
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures
